Stories from the NFCCA Newsletter, the “North Four Corners News” |
North Four Corners News ♦ June 2026
With this issue, I’ve been editor of the News for exactly 25 years. My first issue was October 2001, the year after my husband and I moved in after I got pregnant. We both grew up in this neighborhood (Belton Road and Malta Lane) and both graduated from Northwood High School, as did our son, now 26. In fact, we both knew the original owners of our home.
It’s time to downsize, but I didn’t want to wait until we were moving (or I died!) for the baton to be passed. The October issue will feature a new editor, Rise Goldstein, who will tell you about herself then.
The News (I’ve been told) has made NFCCA a voice to be reckoned with in the county. That’s due solely to the vast number of extraordinary people who have contributed articles — often complete series of stories — in their areas of expertise. We have been incredibly blessed that people were willing to share their knowledge, and on a deadline! You can see all those articles on the nfcca.org website; check it out.
STORY INDEXIt’s been a delight to meet so many of you over the years.
This is a vibrant, active, and friendly neighborhood. Don’t take that for granted. ■
