Next Meeting on 8 April Features District 4 Candidates’ Forum for County Council Special Election 21 April

The next meeting of the Northwood-Four Corners Civic Association will feature a candidates’ forum for the upcoming special election for District 4 to replace the late Don Praisner, who died 30 January.  Don, you’ll recall, took over his wife Marilyn’s position on the Council — again, by special election — last May.  She had served on the Council for 17 years, but passed away 1 February 2008 from complications following heart surgery during her fifth term.

The forum will be held on Wednesday, 8 April 2009, at 7:30 p.m. at the North Four Corners Rec Center.  The Rec Center is located at the end of Southwood Avenue, just off Edgewood Avenue.

All residents of the Northwood-Four Corners-Forest Knolls area are invited to attend and express their views.  Please note that only paid members of the NFCCA are eligible to vote.  (Annual dues are $10 per household and may be paid at the meeting.)   ■
