‘Bring Back the Cans’ Rally

There is going to be a rally to “bring back the (trash) cans” at Candy Cane Park on Beech Drive (soccer field #4) at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, 27 March 2004.  We expect 200-300 people to show up to protest the removal of trash cans in our urban parks and the degredation of the parks as a result.  TV and print media have been invited.  We expect members of Parks and Planning maintenance and police as well as other legislators and community groups to be represented.  For details, contact me, Julia Randall, or Sylvia Fubini [contact details redacted].   ■
