The Northwood Garden Club will be hosting its Second Annual Plant Swap on Sunday, 11 June. If your garden beds are getting too crowded because annuals have re-seeded or perennials are growing and taking up too much space, dig them up and bring them to the plant swap. Each plant you bring can be traded in and swapped for a different plant from one of your neighbors’ gardens.
Pro tip: if you don’t have extra pots, especially for larger plants, reuse a plastic mulch or garden soil bag to bring your plant in. There will also be some annuals for sale — which members have grown from seed — with proceeds going to the NFCCA.
The Plant Swap will be held at 304 Dennis Avenue on Sunday, 11 June, from 1 to 4 p.m. Please mark your calendars!
The Northwood Garden Club was formed here in the neighborhood several years ago. We meet to share gardening tips, sources and information. We welcome beginners as well as experienced gardeners. At the beginning we met via Zoom, but just held our first in-person meeting on a lovely patio.
