Gardening Resources for Native Plants

Learning About Native Plants

Montgomery County Master Gardeners
Master Gardeners, part of the University of Maryland Extension, are volunteers trained by Extension agents to help MoCo residents garden responsibly using Extension science-based methods.  Among other services offered are several plant clinics where people can come in and ask questions, bring plant samples, etc., and get answers to their gardening questions.  These are listed here:

Maryland Native Plant Society
They hold field trips, classes, etc.  They meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month at the White Oak Library, 7:30 p.m.
