Northwood News ♦ December 2012
I am sure we are all very thankful that we were spared the worst of Hurricane Sandy’s destruction. At the very least I was expecting protracted power outages, but, as far as I know, this entire neighborhood weathered Sandy with its lights on. However, a long, unpredictable winter is ahead of us and who can tell what surprises Mother Nature is planning? I am certain of one thing though: we have a great community spirit and we will help each other out no matter what’s in store for us.
And talking about community spirit, if you haven’t attended a civic meeting for a while, you have a chance to reverse this trend on Thursday, 20 December, at 7.30 p.m. at Forest Knolls Elementary School. See you there! ■
