Season’s Greetings to everyone! I hope this edition of the Northwood News finds you and yours in good health and ready to enjoy some time off from work and together with loved ones.
Things are generally quiet in the neighborhood these days, something we couldn’t say during our general meeting in October. The sniper headlines have receded and we can at least gas up in Four Corners without looking over our shoulders.
But there are things stirring and there is always opportunities for you to step in and help improve Northwood-Four Corners. There was a serious attempted crime against a teenage girl here in early November and police are looking for a suspect. The County parks department is asking for community input on the further development of North Four Corners Park (see article). And it looks like the Department of Public Works may be acting on the NFCCA request for sidewalks this spring.
Because of low attendence at our last meeting we postponed the election of the new NFCCA board until the meeting of December 11th. Please plan to attend and support your NFCCA! ■
