7:30 to 9:00 P.M.

Our December meeting will be held in person at Forest Knolls Elementary School (10830 Eastwood Avenue, just off Caddington Avenue).  There will be no Zoom connection.  Instead of our usual general meeting, we will be holding a “Holiday Social,” and are inviting crafts vendors to purchase a table ($10) to sell their wares.  Residents are invited to bring homemade treats!  We also are accepting nonperishable food donations to Manna.

BIKE BUS, EVERY FRIDAY BEGINNING 30 AUGUST, 8:05 A.M.

Our “BIKE BUS” to Forest Knolls Elementary School is BACK!!!  Starting 30 August 2024, a bike bus is an adult-led kids bike ride for younger riders that will take the FKES students from the neighborhood to school along TWO predetermined routes EVERY FRIDAY. Join our Whats-App group chat named “FKES Bike Bus” if you want your child to ride to school with the bike bus.

MONDAY NIGHT PICK-UP SOCCER GAMES, NFC PARK, 5:30 P.M.

Every Monday at 5:30 p.m. (weather permitting), on the lower playing field at North Four Corners Park (not the large official field off University Blvd.), neighbors meet for free pick-up soccer games.  All are welcome to join in, no matter your skill level.  If you’re not up to playing, bring a chair and watch!  The park is at 211 Edgewood Avenue and can also be reached from both Royalton Road and University Blvd.

The NFCCA seeks to represent the interests of every resident in its territory.  The Association covers approximately 1,485 single-family homes (plus 121 apartments at The Oaks) in the North Four Corners area of Silver Spring.  Click on the links above to learn more about:

NFCCA MEETINGS

The Northwood-Four Corners Civic Association conducts general association meetings five times a year — October, December, February, April, and June — on the second Wednesday of the month.  In addition to providing NFCCA information, our meetings feature outside speakers who are invited to address neighborhood topics of interest.  Minutes from past meetings are posted on this website.

Only paid members of the NFCCA are eligible to vote on issues or for board members, although anyone in the neighborhood is invited — nay, encouraged! — to attend all of our meetings, whether they are held online or in person.  To join the NFCCA, annual dues are now $15 per household and may be delivered or mailed to the Treasurer, paid at any of the five meetings (if held in person), or paid online.

FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY
In Maryland, private use and possession of fireworks, including sparklers, is illegal and carries a $500 fine.
